The furniture industry was a pioneer in sustainability with its industry initiative 'Climate Pact for the Furniture Industry.' In 2016, the "Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel" (DGM) founded the initiative to counteract climate change and to set important examples within the German economy.
